Sauganash was built out between 1912 and 1950. Developers Koester and Zander planned it as a quiet place for families leaving the crowded center of the city. Today much of it is the Sauganash Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

If your main floor is wood with area rugs on top, the rugs are the part we clean. We pick them up at your door and take them to our shop. Pickup and return are free.

Shop cleaning costs $3.50 per sq. ft. A 6×9 rug is 54 sq. ft., so it comes to $189. Expect it back in 1 to 2 weeks. Every rug gets an inspection before we start, and you'll hear about any stain that might stay. Hand-knotted and wool pieces get our oriental rug cleaning process. Other rugs go through standard area rug cleaning.

The $180 order minimum applies to rugs too. A single small rug pairs well with a room or a staircase on the same visit.

Downstairs: The Finished Lower Level

Some houses here have a finished lower level with a family room, a rec room, or a bar. That carpet sees movie nights, kids, and guests. It also sits below grade, where damp air hangs around longer.

We clean wall-to-wall carpet right where it lies, using hot water extraction. The water goes back out in the same pass, and most carpet dries in 4 to 6 hours. A lower level up to 450 sq. ft. is a flat $180.

Trails Next Door, Mud Inside

LaBagh Woods, the Sauganash Trail, and the North Branch Trail are all close by. That is great for walks. It also means leaves, mud, and wet paws come through the back door most of the year.

Mud is easier to remove once it dries. Vacuum it first, then let us handle what is left. For accidents from the dog, we offer pet odor removal.

What You Pay, Up Front

Spot treatment is included. Stain removal is part of the cleaning, not an add-on. The only extras are optional: pet odor treatment, disinfectant, or protectant, at $30 a room.

Say you book the lower level and the stairs down to it. That is $180 plus $60, or $240. Paying by card adds a 3.7% fee, for $248.88. Cash or check costs nothing extra. There is no fuel fee and no parking fee.
