Carpet Cleaning in Northbrook, IL
Northbrook is one of our regular North Shore stops. Carpet Cleaning Group is a family-owned business based at 3652 N Milwaukee Ave in Chicago, and we have cleaned homes since 2014. We serve all of ZIP 60062, from downtown near Shermer Road to the homes around Village Green Park and the Techny area.
What Carpets Here Go Through
Northbrook is mostly single-family homes, and many are large. More square feet means more carpet, more stairs, and more rooms that get missed. Here is what we see most.
- Finished basements. Basement family rooms and home offices trap moisture and odor. After a summer storm, basement carpet can soak through. See our page on water damaged carpet if that happens.
- Busy family rooms. Kids, sports gear, and snow boots all come through the same door. Traffic lanes show up fast.
- Fine rugs. Wool and hand-knotted rugs are common in formal rooms. They need a gentler method than wall-to-wall carpet.
- Pets. Accidents that sink into the pad come back as odor on humid days.
Services We Offer
We use hot water extraction, the method most carpet makers recommend. Our steam cleaning for carpets rinses soil out of the fibers and pulls the water back up. Most carpet is dry in 4 to 6 hours.
- Whole-home carpet cleaning, including stairs and basements
- Oriental and wool rug cleaning with free pickup and delivery
- Pet odor treatment that reaches the padding
- Upholstery cleaning for sofas, sectionals, and dining chairs
- Tile and grout cleaning for kitchens, mudrooms, and baths
Our products are Green Seal certified and non-toxic. They are safe for kids and pets once the carpet is dry.
Best Times of Year to Clean
For most North Shore homes, we suggest two cleanings a year. The spring clean is the big one. It pulls out the road salt and grit tracked in from October through March. A fall clean gets carpet ready before holiday guests arrive.
Homes with pets or young kids may need a visit in between. If traffic lanes look gray before spring, it is time.
