Who is Carpet Cleaning Group?
We’re family-owned. Our shop is at 3652 N Milwaukee Ave on the Northwest Side — right in the Jefferson Park area. We’ve been cleaning carpets, rugs, and upholstery across Chicago and the suburbs since 2014. Every product we use is non-toxic and safe. That matters to us because we have kids and pets too.
What area do you serve?
All of Chicago and a good chunk of the suburbs. In the city, we’re in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Old Town, and many more neighborhoods. Suburbs too: Skokie, Evanston, Naperville, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Downers Grove, and beyond. If you’re not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call and we’ll let you know.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Sundays.

What services do you offer?
We provide a full range of cleaning services for homes and businesses. That includes steam carpet cleaning, deep carpet cleaning, carpet stain removal, Oriental rug cleaning, area rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile and grout, pet stain and odor removal , fabric protection, mattress cleaning, water damage restoration, carpet installation, and commercial floor care.
What cleaning methods do you use?
Depends on the carpet. We do steam cleaning (hot water extraction), dry cleaning, bonnet cleaning, and encapsulation. Steam cleaning is by far our most popular — and it’s the method most carpet manufacturers recommend. We’ll look at your carpet and tell you which method makes the most sense.
What types of carpets can you clean?
We clean synthetic carpets, natural fiber carpets, and specialty rugs — including delicate Oriental and Persian rugs. We also handle wall-to-wall carpeting and area rugs made from nylon, polypropylene, and wool.
What’s the difference between steam cleaning and deep cleaning?
Steam cleaning flushes dirt out of carpet fibers using hot water extraction. Deep carpet cleaning in Chicago takes it further — we pre-treat, agitate, and then extract. It’s for carpets that have been neglected for a while or have ground-in dirt that regular cleaning won’t budge. Both work great. It just depends on what your carpet needs.
Pricing and Scheduling
How much does carpet cleaning cost in Chicago?
It depends on the size of the space and what kind of service you need. Most rooms fall between $45 and $85. By the square foot, you’re looking at roughly $0.35 to $0.50. Specialty treatments like pet stain removal or protectant cost a little extra. We always give you a clear price before we start — no surprises.

Do you run any deals or discounts?
We offer seasonal specials, multi-room deals, and other promotions throughout the year. Visit our specials page for current offers, or ask about them when you call.
Preparing for Your Appointment
How should I prepare before you come?
Pick up the small stuff — toys, shoes, pet beds. Move anything fragile or breakable out of the cleaning area. If you can give the floors a quick vacuum before we arrive, that helps too. It clears the surface dirt so we can go straight for the deep stuff.
Do you move furniture?
Light stuff, sure. End tables, dining chairs, small items. But heavy things like bed frames, big dressers, and sectional sofas — those need to be moved before we get there. We don’t want to risk damaging your floors or your furniture.
Do I have to leave the house?
Not at all. Everything we use is non-toxic and safe for people and pets. Just stay off the damp carpet until it dries and you’re good.
After Your Cleaning
How long until my carpets are dry?
Usually somewhere between 7 and 15 hours. It depends on airflow, humidity, all of that. Fans help. A dehumidifier helps more. In the summer, crack a window. In winter, bump the heat up a little.
More Common Questions
Is professional carpet cleaning actually worth it?
It is. Your vacuum picks up what’s on the surface, but dust, allergens, and bacteria settle deep into the fibers over time. You can’t vacuum that out. Professional cleaning can. It makes a noticeable difference in how your home smells and feels. Carpets last longer too.
How often should I get my carpets cleaned?
For most homes, every 12 to 18 months. Got kids? Every 6 months is better. Pets? Same thing — maybe even every 3 to 6 months depending on the situation. If you live near a busy street or have people constantly coming and going, more often doesn’t hurt.
How long does an appointment take?
Most rooms take 20 to 30 minutes. Bigger rooms or heavily soiled carpets take longer. We don’t rush through it, and we don’t cut corners.
Can you remove allergens from carpet?
Professional cleaning pulls out dust mites, pollen, pet dander — the stuff that sits deep in carpet fibers and makes allergy season feel like it never ends. If someone in your house is always sneezing indoors, there’s a good chance the carpet is part of it.
Are your products safe around kids and pets?
Everything we use is non-toxic. We wouldn’t bring anything into your home that we wouldn’t use in ours.
Do you clean offices and commercial spaces?
We do. Commercial carpet cleaning for offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and more. We can come after hours or on weekends so we’re not in the way of your business.
