Professional Steam Carpet Cleaning in Chicago
Steam carpet cleaning is the deepest way to clean a carpet. It uses hot water and strong suction to pull dirt out of the fibers. At Carpet Cleaning Group, we’ve done this work in Chicago since 2014. Our shop is at 3652 N Milwaukee Ave on the Northwest Side. We clean carpet in homes and offices all over the city.
How Steam Cleaning Works
Steam cleaning is also called hot water extraction. It’s simple, and it works. We heat water and mix in a safe cleaning solution. Then we spray it into the carpet under pressure. The heat and solution break up dirt, oil, and stains. Right away, we pull the water back out. The dirt comes with it. What’s left is a clean carpet that dries in about 4 to 6 hours.
Most carpet makers recommend hot water extraction. It’s the method they trust to protect your carpet’s warranty. Other methods use harsh chemicals or leave sticky soap behind. That soap attracts new dirt fast. Steam cleaning rinses clean, so your carpet stays fresh longer.
Why Chicago Carpet Needs a Deep Clean
Chicago winters are hard on carpet. From November through March, we track in salt, slush, and mud. That grit grinds into the fibers every time you walk on it. Over time it wears the carpet down and dulls the color. Hot water extraction flushes that grit out. It also lifts dust, pet dander, and allergens from deep in the pile. If someone in your home has allergies, a deep clean helps.
Our Process
Here’s how a typical job goes:
- Inspection. We check the fiber type, the stains, and the high-traffic spots.
- Pre-vacuum. We lift the loose, dry dirt first.
- Pre-treatment. We spray problem areas and let the solution work.
- Hot water extraction. We clean the carpet and pull the water back out.
- Spot treatment. We give stubborn stains extra attention.
- Speed dry. We use fans so your carpet dries in about 4 to 6 hours.
